DR. WAHID WAHBA

FOUNDER & CEO

In 1976, God placed a burden on Dr. Wahid Wahba’s heart to invest deeper in the lives of those around him. A dentist by profession, Dr. Wahid resigned from his dental practice in Cairo, Egypt, to pursue full-time Christian ministry.

Since he answered God’s call more than 40 years ago, Dr. Wahid has trained and equipped millions of Christian leaders worldwide. In 2000, he launched the Middle East Leadership Training Institute (MELTI), which reaches 45,000 people in 25 Middle Eastern and North African countries every year.
Dr. Wahid has worked with Christian ministries like the Bible Society of Egypt, Walk Thru the Bible, Purpose Driven, and the Haggai Institute to help them advance the work of God throughout the Middle East, Africa, Asia, CIS, and Europe.

DR. LAILA WAHBA

ADMINISTRATOR & COMMUNICATION OFFICER

Dr. Laila Risgallah Wahba is a pediatrician, passionate about children and their welfare. She has a Masters degree in Pediatrics and a Ph.D. in childhood studies. In 2009 she decided to equip herself to abolish sexual abuse and bullying. She studied the Middle East Sexual Abuse Related Pastoral Counseling Diploma and graduated in 2012. Laila is known for her youth TV program Han3ishasa7 (We Will Live our Lives Right), a program targeted for youth that has shown all over the Middle East and North Africa area tackling all youth issues and problems. Laila is the founder and president of Not Guilty with the goal to help abolish sexual abuse and bullying. She is an Ashoka Fellow, an inspirational public speaker, author, and determined social advocate. Dr. Risgallah is passionate about strong leadership and empowering others. Her determined mission is to be a voice for the unheard and fight against sexual abuse in society.

JIM FLEMING

BOARD MEMBER

Jim worked for 37 years at Eastman Chemical in various leadership roles in their Global Supply Chain. Jim has held management positions at their Longview site, the Latin America regional office in Miami, the corporate office in Kingsport and the EMEA regional office in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Logistics. He received his MBA from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. Jim is a member of APICS where he has his certification in Transportation and Logistics (CTL). He is also a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Practitioners (CSCMP) and National Freight Transportation Association (NFTA). Jim and Teresa have attended Highlands for 10 years and have served in various volunteer roles.
