Your Questions About Rc Helicopters For Beginners

Daniel asks…
Best beginners rc helicopter?
My birthday is coming up soon can’t wait 28
My girlfriend is going to get me a radio controlled helicopter
I like the e-sky commanche but have heard it is not very good outside
it is really a good beginners outdoors rc helicopter I am interested in as space indoors is limited here.
I am looking for suggestions on reasonably affordable beginners outdoor rc helicopters.
Something that I won’t lose interest in as soon as I learn to fly it as Xmas is still gonna be 4 months after my birthday and would not like to get something that would kill the hobby for me before then.
So please really good suggestions on beginners helicopters that would allow me to learn but not lose interest.
Remember outdoor please
I’m not some 5 year old getting a present.

Hi The Honey Bee is a superb starting helicopter. Check the website for places to buy these helicopters from. Just type in rc helicopters in Google and you will get a massive list of places where you can buy them from. I’m also new to the hobby i’m 34! And I’ve just joined a R/C helicopter club locally to me. I highly recommend you do this too if you want to get serious in this hobby. It’s illegal to fly helicopters or anything like that in someone Else’s field due to the risk in accidents but you should be fine with a Comanche. I’m going to plunge myself into the deep end and buy a Trex 500 6 channel helicopter! This helicopter is massive by the way, it’s about 1.2 meters long! And can fly 3000ft away from me any direction! It does cost about £260 for the helicopter but you do need to buy the control box and other things to finish the job. Overall it will probably set you back to about £600! This is also the helicopter you can see on Youtube with the Airwolf shell and the flashing lights! Check it out on youtube it’s so cool! Anyway good luck with the helicopter and have fun!

What is the best RC helicopter for beginners?
My dad is getting one for my stepbrother and wants a high quality one, but also good for beginners. He is 11 years old. Any ideas?

The PicooZ is a good idea, but the warranty is not too great. I would suggest you go with the Air Hogs Havoc instead… It is child-proofed, so it is hard to break and it wouldn’t hurt someone as much as a real helicopter would.
