When Doors Close
In ministry and in life, we often encounter seasons where opportunities seem abundant, only to have doors unexpectedly close. Such moments can be disheartening, especially when our plans are disrupted. For us, the recent postponement of 4G3 training marks the second time we've had to halt our efforts in Syria due to escalating violence. While closed doors can be disheartening, they often lead us to new paths and deeper reliance on our faith. We remain committed to supporting the Syrian people, adapting our strategies to the evolving situation, and trusting that our efforts will bear fruit in due time.
The current crisis in Syria is nothing short of heartbreaking. Syria remains the world's largest refugee crisis. Recent reports indicate that entire families, including women and children, have been killed in the coastal regions due to sectarian violence. Refugees fleeing this violence have sought safety in neighboring Lebanon, sharing harrowing tales of brutality and loss.
Despite these challenges, our commitment to serving Syrians remains unwavering. We continue to reach out to Syrian communities in Turkey and Lebanon, providing spiritual support and disciple making resources.
Please join us in prayer.
Strength for Believers: Pray that those trained in our Discipleship Institutes stand firm in their faith, becoming beacons of light, encouragement, and hope to others amidst the darkness.
End to Bloodshed: Pray fervently for an end to the violence and bloodshed in Syria, that peace may prevail and communities can begin to heal.
Thank you for praying and standing with those who are suffering.
